Homemade Valentines

February 12, 2013

I've been kind of going crazy at the craft store since the start of the new year. I'm trying to occupy my time while I wait for spring.

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I thought I would revisit a tradition that I haven't participated in since my middle school days: handing out valentines. Back in the day, Mom Chung would always purchase drug store cards. I would try to save the best looking one for the cutest boy in my class. I'm pretty sure he didn't catch on to my subtle hinting.

This year, I thought I would incorporate my newfound love of painting and make some cards for those near and dear to my heart. And I tied in my other love: food.

Behold: Valentine's Day Cards for the Foodie
You can purchase a pack of blank cards at your local craft stores and paint away to your heart's content. I used acrylic paint to make these tasty looking, heart-warming cards.

Happy Valentine's Day!
