Friendsgiving Treats

November 17, 2016

I went to my first ever Friendsgiving last weekend. What I thought would be a smallish gathering of like 20 people became a house filled with maybe 40 people, complete with 3 turkeys, 5 stuffings, 3 mashed potatoes and lots of pie.
The food was great, the company was lovely and I felt like a college kid at a house party (but this time it was a little more grown up since a keg and super drunkies were absent. Maybe being a grown up has its perks after all).

My contribution to the Friendsgiving was Salted Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars, which is perfect for potlucks with lots of dessert. If you cut the squares into smaller bites, then people have room for pie, pie and more pie! And they're basically pecan pie in bar form.
I made them for Thanksgiving last year and they were a hit even when I took the leftovers to work the next day. So whip of a batch for a Friendsgiving or real Thanksgiving this year!
