Whole30 No-Recipe Recipes

August 18, 2022

Here are two non-recipe Whole30 recipes that were super easy to make and came together pretty quickly. Whole30 meals can be pretty time consuming so these dishes were welcomed with open arms. They're non-recipe recipes because they're pretty simple and I didn't need a recipe to make these because they are pretty much what I throw together in my non-Whole30 life.

Whole30 Spicy Tuna Hand Rolls were a way to get my sushi fix (I love sushi/kimbap especially during the summer). And they're super simple to make! (serves 1)
Ingredients:
a can of water packed tuna
2 tbs (more or less depending on how you like tuna salad) whole30 mayo
1/2 tsp sesame oil
a few dashes Yai's chili garlic hot sauce (only asian hot sauce that I could find that was whole30)
a few sprinkles of Trader Joe's furikake (other brands contain sugar)
sliced avocado/cucumer
2 sheets of nori/seaweed, cut into quarters
Directions:
1. Combine tuna, mayo, sesame oil, hot sauce and furikake together.
2. Spread tuna salad onto nori square then add sliced avocado and cucumber.
3. Roll nori and enjoy!

Whole30 Sausage and Peppers come together quickly--all you have to do is soften peppers and onions and heat through the already cooked sausage. (serves 2)
Ingredients:
1 tbs olive oil
1 bell pepper, julienned
1/2 large onion, sliced thinly into half moons
2 links of Trader Joe's Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage sliced into 1/2 inch slices
1 garlic clove, minced
splash of balsamic vinegar
Directions:
1. Over medium heat, heat oil in large skillet then add in peppers and onions. Cook until softened, about ten minutes.
2. Then add in sausage slices and heat for another 3-5 minutes until browned.
3. Toss in garlic and a splash of balsamic vinegar.
4. Take off heat and transfer onto plate.
5. Enjoy!
