King Arthur Baking does not disappoint when they release a Recipe of the Year. Through countless tests, they create perfect recipes that will guarantee amazing results. My favorites in the past have been Classic Birthday Cake and Crispy Cheesy Pan Pizza.
I was overjoyed that this year's recipe didn't require yeast (the last two years have and sometimes I feel like yeasted breads can be tricky). What's unique about this year's recipe, Cinnamon-Crisp Coffee Cake, is that it will be released seasonally with different versions. Currently, there are three available: the original, triple chocolate and birthday.

The Results: This coffee cake exceeded my expectations. It was perfectly moist (even though I was worried because I thought I overbaked my cake) and the chocolatey filling added a nice surprise with the cinnamon flavor. The topping brought a crispy texture to the fluffy cake. Can't wait to make the other versions!
