I've slowly gotten back into baking since moving to a new house a couple months ago. My usual frantic baking seems more manageable in the new kitchen so I can't wait for all the chaotic baking I'll do here (it seems that all I needed was more countertop space to reel in my chaos).
Here are some highlights from the past week of fall baking where brown butter was the star:
Brown Butter Pumpkin Snickerdoodles from Broma Bakery. These were super soft/chewy, spiced cookies. I didn't think snickerdoodles could get better but apparently they can with brown butter!
Roasted Pear Cake with Brown Butter Glaze from Yossy Arefi. Usually fall screams apple desserts but I found this pear cake just as warm and cozy for fall as apple desserts. The pear is subtle but delicious and the brown butter icing is too good with this spiced cake.
