Green Mornings

I'm about to embark on my third road trip of the summer, hauling a car full of my stuffs across the country. But this last month I was hanging out with the parents in the burbs of Chicago. And each and every morning I was greeted with a healthy and tasty green smoothie, via my mom's Nutri Bullet Blender.
I tried to recreate my mom's version last year, which didn't yield the results I had hoped. But since I was in charge of making them for the past 10 days, I think I've nailed the recipe, while adding some personal touches.
Green Morning Smoothie for Two
Ingredients:
2 handfuls of kale or other fresh greens
1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 frozen banana
1 cm piece fresh ginger
1 tbs chia seeds
1 handful of raw almonds
a dash of cinnamon
1 tbs greek yogurt
1 cup water
optional: 1/2 avocado, walnuts, goji berries
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients into blender.
2. Blend well until smooth.
3. Enjoy!
